1965 Carlton Catalina

22.5" frame, number S4794

A Catalina, bought cheaply mainly for the decals to use as a master.

Capella lugs, chrome on the steering head. The Capella decal is on the top of the seat tube.

See also the 1963 version.

Handlebars Capella lugs

Steering stem

Shimano Lark SS

The front forks, wheels and 6-speed freewheel are not original, but could be from a late 70's Carlton or Raleigh Carlton.

GB Maes handlebars, GB stem and Weinmann levers with Carlton hoods are original.

Derailleur is a Shimano Lark SS, original was probably a Huret. Williams chainwheel and cranks stamped ZF which equates to 1965. Non original pedals. No braze-ons for 10 gears.

There is a Catalina decal on the seat tube, pretty faded.
