Carlton factories

Carlton had six homes in total; the first in a building next to Fred Hanstocks home in Carlton, the second in Maltby (they then later moved back to Carlton), and the third in Bridge Street, Worksop, a year after they became a limited company in 1934. Clarence Road then followed before the second world war, then they moved to Dock Road around 1945. The fire of 1962 forced the move to the old timber mill at Kilton on the outskirts of town.

This is the rear of the building which backs onto the railway station, it was a sort of split level affair as it is located on a hill. The car park is on the site of the sidings, one of which ran up to the workshop although it was rarely or never used, materials may have been brought in though. Carlton Clarence Road factory
These photos are of all that remains of the Dock Road factory. This was the office block, all that was left after the fire. Carlton Dock Road factory
